Has anyone seen or heard from Nicola Bulley?
Well this is a strange case. Missing still.
Was wondering when they might start rolling out the partner with everyone watching his every facial reaction. Chances are she has sadly fallen into the river, maybe slipped, hit her head and gone in. They did say she would have been taken down stream despite the river looking dead still in the photos where her phone and dog were found.
The horrible thought following that is its more likely her partner than a random.kidnapping going by statistics.
My money is currently on the river and a one in a million accident but whatever the outcome, extremely tragic for her poor children isn't it. Apparently she was originally from Essex so I've managed to eek a little relevance out of it for the forum! What dl you lot think, those who have followed it?

No idea what has happened to the poor woman.

But the idea of the random fall into the river doesn't (yet) fully make sense. Why leave your phone on the bench, mid phone call, and then wander close enough to the river to (accidentally) fall in?

You'd have your phone in your hand, or pocket, etc wouldn't you? Seems odd she, or somebody, left the phone and dog's harness on the bench.

But I don't know. Just hope that, somehow, they find the woman alive.

Re: Has anyone seen or heard from Nicola Bulley?
Some of you may remember the Ann Lock murder of 1986.

I knew Ann slightly and, God rest her soul, she was a thoroughly nice person. Her partner, later husband, Lawrence was the shiftiest-looking and acting odd-ball you could ever meet. He was batting well above his average with Ann who was rather lovely. The police clearly thought he had done for her, I know I did, and concentrated on fitting him up for months.

Eventually it transpired that she had been murdered by a pair of serial rapists/murderers who became known as 'The Railway Killers'.

So, two lessons to be learned here. A shifty, socially inept person (of course, this now means all men) isn't always guilty. And always remember that the police will attempt to fit up the nearest suspect, irrespective of the actual evidence, particularly if they appear a bit odd or not too bright*

Actually, have just seen a pic of the bench where the phone/harness were found: it is right next to the river. Only a couple of yards back from the riverbank. So that does indeed make it more possible. Still odd, though.

Awful in any circumstances.

Re: Has anyone seen or heard from Nicola Bulley?
It's the 'Teams' call that puzzles me. It seems she logged into either a call or a meeting on a Teams app at 9 am but the video camera was off and the microphone muted..?
I don't really know why anyone would do that other than maybe somebody wanted other people to think she was present,

Re: Has anyone seen or heard from Nicola Bulley?
Dunno.

A lot of people log in to big group Teams/Zoom calls and mute it because they know they'll have nothing to say/contribute. Sometimes it's just a case of having to listen in to the crap going on elsewhere in an org.

"Yeah, I REALLY enjoyed your draft sales pitch, Jeremy, and I'm very much looking forward to hearing it all again after you've revised it all next week...but I do work in the New York legal office and it was 4am for me..."

You can tell I'm enthusiastic about this tech.

I’m guessing the dog went in the water, she went to help it in a panic and fell in . Maybe got eaten by pikes

Have they checked if any of the trees in the vicinity were put to unusual use or not?

If the boyfriend did do her in, I wonder if he shouted "You can't BEAT a bit of Bulley" whilst he was smashing her brains in.

Re: Has anyone seen or heard from Nicola Bulley?
She could have turned the phone to mute etc on account of swerving off to walk her dog but creating the impression of 'working'
But I would be staggered if she is discovered in the water though, that river is not the Nile, it will have obvious routes of flow and obstruction and will surely have been searched

Looks like an abduction, they were focusing upon a nearby derelict house, not looking good
One thing confuses me, and that is the dog, if I left mine by a bench they would follow or at least retrace my route, you can bet plod have taken note of where it was found

Re: Has anyone seen or heard from Nicola Bulley?
I'm guessing suicide, went into the river.

Popular spot with walkers, broad daylight. can't see how someone could drag her from the bench and out of the park, un-noticed.

Re: Has anyone seen or heard from Nicola Bulley?
99.99% she fell into the river and the body will turn up in a few days further down stream.

My guess is that the dog was misbehaving by the bank and she went to sort him out and slipped and fell in, it's quite a steep part of the river.

I don't sense any foul play just a very tragic accident.

Re: Has anyone seen or heard from Nicola Bulley?
Apparently they have just cordoned off a car park 9 miles down stream and forensic officers have turned up.

Not looking good.
